Navigator Consulting is recruiting a full-time Wordpress* web developer, to be based at our office in Limassol, Cyprus.
Navigator Consulting is part of a wider group of companies that includes a business incubator, several active start-ups, conferences and events, and a number of projects that continue to operate independently. Founded in 1995, we relocated our headquarters to Limassol in 2016.
Our core focus is guiding companies through change. We support the change process through:
Investment-led growth;
Digital transformation and migration;
Post-investment restructuring support.
Each year, we implement approximately 20-25 projects that take place in Cyprus, Greece, Central and Eastern Europe, and other countries. Our clients include investment banks, private equity funds, venture capital firms, family offices, chambers of commerce, companies and universities.
We also provide pro bono support to qualified NGOs, start-ups, foundations, charities and similar causes and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Develop the web identity, UX/UI and wider graphic design approach to our group, as well as for individual projects and initiatives, in conjunction with group managers and third parties;
Gradually move a range of existing websites from our group from a custom CMS onto Wordpress;
Develop a range of new websites for initiatives and brands within our group;
Work on web development projects for our clients.
You will be working with a range of stakeholders within our company, including managing directors and consultants, as well as a range of external partners such as clients and business partners.
Your background and skills will include:
Fluency in English;
Fluency in Greek would be an advantage;
Elegant graphic design / UX / UI understanding and business logic;
Strong Wordpress experience -- we are willing to consider other solutions;
Good understanding of html5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and other front-end technologies;
Ability to manage CSS changes across platforms and browsers;
Ability to convert wireframes and mock-ups into working html pages;
Experience with custom themes and plugins, including shopping cards, hotel CRS, and others;
Experience with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, others
Ability to manage third party tools and APIs, such as Google Console, Google Maps, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, social logins, and others;
Understanding code versioning tools such at Git or SVN;
Ability to set up and maintain hosting services on AWS and other platforms;
Image editing knowledge (Adobe Photoshop, others);
Ability to work with internal teams and external customers.

* We are interested in Wordpress to ease of use and continuity over several versions. We are willing to consider alternative solutions, as long as support for code development will be available over the long term.
